The 1000UL Series Panic Exit Bar is durable and reliable. This model by Sentry Safety Hardware The 1000UL Series meets the UL listed safety standards, which means that samples of the complete product have been tested against nationally recognized safety standards and have been found to be free from certain risk of fire, electric shock, and other similar hazards. As a result the UL Listing Service is the most widely recognized safety certification program and users can be sure that this safety device has met and constantly continues to meet the safety standards. This particular bar comes with an 1/2″ latch bolt and 5/8″ deadlocking bolt to create a dependable connection between the door and the exit device, ensuring that the panic bar will function properly for use after use. The 1000UL Series has a unique feature that allows the panic bar to be unlocked by fastening the crossbar in the depressed position and keeping the bolts in a retracted position. This feature is Allen key dogging and enables the door to be open from either side. This feature reduces the strain on the device’s springs and mechanisms because there is no necessity to engage an internal mechanism each time the door is opened. With this model you have choices in appearance and installation. It is available in a painted or stainless steel finish. Also don’t forget the Cylinder Lock permits the user to install accessories so the door can be opened from outside. The cylinder lock connects to the internal mechanisms of the push bar by way of a 2 3/4″ hole in the door.
