- SMART PET-IMMUNE MOTION SENSOR – The Smanos MD9100 Motion Sensor uses special infrared probes and an intelligent algorithm to effectively distinguish between human body and small pet movements. This intelligent algorithm prevents false alarms caused by pets, as long as they weigh under 45 lbs. The sensor also uses automatic temperature compensation and anti-draft technology to adapt to a wide variety of residential environments.
- LIGHT INDICATOR – On the front of the Smanos MD9100 Motion Sensor, there is a small light that indicates the status of the sensor. When the light blinks continuously, it means the sensor is in testing mode; if slowly, it means the sensor is running low on battery power. If the light blinks once, the sensor has detected the presence of an intruder. If the light blinks twice, the testing mode has finished.
- BATTERY OPERATED – This motion sensor is powered by two AA batteries. The sensor has a power saving mode, making it environmentally friendly and energy efficient. This means that you won’t need to plug in any power cables, as the device is completely wireless. When the motion sensor is triggered, a wireless signal is sent to your Smanos hub or control panel, such as the W120, W100 or X330, and you will be alerted on your phone immediately.
- WORKS WITH SMANOS ALARM SYSTEMS – The MD9100 Motion Sensors must be used with a Smanos brand home security system, such as the W120, W100 or X330, and can be wirelessly paired. This way, when one of your sensors is triggered, the hub can respond accordingly, such as sending you an app push notification and sounding a loud siren. Smanos makes a variety of security systems and accessories.
- EASY TO INSTALL – As with all Smanos security devices, the Smanos MD9100 is extremely easy to install. It can be mounted to any wall (preferably in a corner) with the included pivot mount or secured directly to the wall with the included 3M tape. Avoid installing the sensor where it directly faces windows, heat sources, or other PIR sensors. The ideal height for the sensor is 6.5 to 7 feet above the ground.
